We are absolutely thrilled to have been awarded the STELLA*25 in the “Outstanding Music” category for the play “Es ist Zeit” by Oxana Omelchuk, which we produced in collaboration with Theater am Ortweinplatz, Theaterland Steiermark, Wien Modern, and the Wiener Konzerthaus.

Jury Statement:

The STELLA*25 in the “Outstanding Music” category goes to a performance in which music is far more than mere accompaniment—it is language, atmosphere, and action all at once. Music and text were not merely combined; they have come to an understanding. With a fascinating combination of experimental sounds, words, and finely tuned atmospheric accompaniment, images and moods unfold. A wide variety of instruments, from classical to experimental, weave together into a vibrant tapestry of rhythm and emotion. The visibility of the musicians and instruments builds slowly. There is whistling, dancing, commentary, experimentation, and much more. Soft and delicate, loud, but never too much. Silence is tension. From the classical concert hall to the club, from the cinema back to the theater. A wide variety of styles are presented, and they blend organically into the plot because it fits: the young and not-so-young audience stays engaged because even the sound of a vacuum cleaner fits perfectly. And then there was also the exploration of a not-so-easy topic… time.
