In 2027, Laurie Anderson turns 80 — an artist who, like few others, has dissolved the boundaries between technology, poetry, and cool avant-garde. In February 2027, Studio Dan dedicates itself to this icon not with a nostalgic retrospective, but with a living survey of her influence.
Ensemble musicians Maiken Beer and Sophia Goidinger-Koch, together with composer and singer Anna Anderluh, devote themselves to a multidimensional tribute — to Anderson's visual art as much as to her sound world. In a ping-pong process, they share sketches, develop original material further, or use it as a starting point for something new. With an Andersonian ease, playfully, and in dialogue.
A dialogue across generations. And a bow to an artist who made the "in-between" her home. Between art song and spoken word, between lo-fi and high-tech, between storytelling and soundscape, political wakefulness and absurd wit.
