In 2027, Laurie Anderson will celebrate her 80th birthday—an artist who, like few others, has blurred the boundaries between technology, poetry, and cool avant-garde. In February 2027, Studio Dan will not offer a nostalgic retrospective of this icon, but rather a vibrant assessment of her influence.

The program weaves Anderson’s minimalist precision with the hyperactive soundscapes of Jennifer Walshe and new pieces from the ensemble’s own ranks. A dialogue across generations. And a tribute to an artist who has made the “in-between” her home. Between art song and spoken word, between lo-fi and high-tech, between storytelling and soundscape, political awareness and absurd humor.
