Continuous work on an own musical language

Studio Dan _ Gruppe_10.jpg  Ditz Fejer

The format of the Studio Sessions takes up the idea of the "working band", i.e. the continuous work on one's own musical language and the results of which are to be presented to an audience on a regular basis.

The aim of the Studio Sessions is to integrate the musical influences of the ensemble members even more deeply into the common artistic identity of Studio Dan. For this purpose, open-ended rehearsals and presentations take place regularly in the Westbahnstudios.
Mostly new compositions or works-in-progress of the ensemble members are presented there. These sessions also help to strengthen the musical-artistic communication within the ensemble and to let the audience participate in this process.

Composers: George Lewis, Daniel Mayer, Christoph Herndler, Veronika Mayer, Christof Ressi, Daniel Riegler, Pauline Oliveros, Simon Løffler, Tania Leòn, Alvin Curran, Charles Mingus, Anthony Braxton, Michael Tiefenbacher
