Studio Dan

Fanfare III (ROS1) is the release of a production from 2012. The composition of the same name comes from the ensemble leader and founder Daniel Riegler. He developed it for his friend, the saxophonist Michel Doneda and Studio Dan. The piece is an extremely close interweaving of Doneda's radical tonal language and Riegler's idiosyncratic music.

Michel Doneda (* 1954) is a French saxophonist and one of the most important representatives of the international improvisation scene. He has recorded almost 50 CDs for various European, American and Japanese labels to date. The CD's cover artwork is from his his ongoing visual art project called CARTOLINA'S.
