Sonnensittich is a 60-minute short film program for young audiences. It focuses on the relationship between image and sound and explores different approaches to film music.

Through a selection of historical and contemporary short films – including experimental cinema and Austrian animation – the program presents a range of musical perspectives on the medium of film.

At its core is the newly developed animated film Sonnensittich by Fekry Helal and Ralph Mothwurf, which tells the story of an outsider and explores how first impressions can be misleading.

The program is created in cooperation with film curator Thomas Renoldner (BAAF Film).
