Studio Dan

YUM! is a dazzling music theatre piece somewhere between opera, performance art, and extended reality. Composer Wen Liu invites the audience to a decadent dinner where jellies turn into glittering gourmet dreams via an XR app – indulgence as illusion, a mirror for digital fake worlds and consumerism. Set against a backdrop of climate crisis and collapsing social systems, a dystopian mood unfolds between bitterness and fascination. Studio Dan takes part in the production as a string quartet.
