Continuing the series that began with Elliott Sharp and George Lewis, we have commissioning a full program by the New York pianist Anthony Coleman. He performed on John Zorn’s most influential recordings (“Spillane”, “Cobra”, “The Big Gundown”) and has worked with musicians such as Dave Douglas and Marc Ribot; with his own project Sephardic Tinge he toured extensively in Europe and the US. Together with Roy Nathanson, he released the album “Lobster And Friend”, a work highly acclaimed in Studio Dan circles. He is on the faculty of the Mannes College New School for Music and at the New England Conservatory in Boston. The program was premiered at Jazzfestival Saalfelden and will be released on CD in 2022.
