Studio Dan

Chapter '17

-

After a very exciting season 2016, we are now opening up the next chapter and look forward to many concerts, new programs and great concert tours.
At first we take it a bit more comfortable and play in smaller line-ups. There is a small intervention at the opening (March 22) of “Wien von oben”, the new show of the Vienna Museum. Afterwards a small trip into the West with two concerts (23 + 24 March) with Clemens Wenger´s “Neapel - feat. Studio Dan Strings”.
Directly afterwards (25. + 26.3. in Hamburg) we are going to present the first shows of our adventurous kid´s concert Planet Globokar after the premier in 2016. With this we will still be on the road in 2017/18, dates in Graz (1. + 2.8), Slovenia and St. Pölten are confriemd. Belgium, France, Greece are in the works - we will keep you posted.
In July, we are looking forward to concerts at the 28th Zappanale (15th + 16th of July), where we will perform for the second time and with two different programs.
In autumn, as usual, things are moving faster: first, the CD presentation of the recording of HOMO FABER. In 2015 we have performed the piece five times at the 21er house. Then the music for four players was part of an art installation. Now, we are going to perform the concert version in Vienna and New York.
In October, our small sensation: together with Matthias Muche as soloists, we will present two commissioned works by Oxana Omelchuk and George Lewis at the musikprotokoll in Graz.

These pieces, a premiere of Christian F. Schiller and pieces by Mirela Ivičević, Christoph Walder, Clemens Wenger and Caitlin Smith, will be presented at the Austrian Cultural Forum and the Roulette in NYC. And with a bit of luck in Montreal. Fingers Crossed!
